Responsibilities

  • This role will be crucial in managing the financial and operational aspects of the districts

Workplace Responsibilities

The Wise County Health Department, located at 134 Roberts Ave., SW, Wise, VA, is the site of a Business Manager C post that the Cumberland Plateau and LENOWISCO Health Districts are seeking to fill. In order to manage the districts’ operational and financial facets, this position will be essential.

The position’s objective:

working closely with the director in an administrative role in a health district or central office work unit. focuses strategically on long-term problems and has a vision for the central office work unit or district.

Functions with a strategic focus on long term issues, vision for central office work unit/district. Features include being the main spokesperson for business operations for both internal and external entities and covering all non-medical matters in the absence of the District/Office Director. allocates funds and personnel resources, promotes programs, creates the budget, oversees facilities, finances, and human resources in accordance with management’s input, and updates the director on developments in coordination with the fiscal team. has the overarching duty to guarantee quality assurance in connection with the strategic plans and areas of responsibility of the unit.
